There Can Be Only One

I find the journey of blogging can be a very tedious time if you are unable to really to hone in on what you want to talk about.  My goals for this blog are to continue to blog for a minimum of two years with some assemblage of monthly consistency, to let current owners, potential buyers and Ford in on some of the secrets I've come to rely on over my 9 years of fleet vehicles, to vlog, and to do something a little zany, because, why not?!

A really quick back-story on me. I promise.

My name is Kimberly Ford and my parents are engineers.  My father has worked hard for years to get where he is in the automotive industry and I couldn't be a prouder daughter.  My mother owned her own dealership in Ohio when I was little so I spent more time than I can imagine driving my super adorable mini van throughout the building welcoming customers.  I always thoughts engineering wouldn't be in my future but everyday I see that it's been written in my stars for years.

I got my license when I was 16 like most Michiganders and promptly began cruising the mean streets of my hometown in a one of a kind yellow 50th anniversary Thunderbird.  One of a kind if only because my father forgot to order the fog lights :).  Ever since then, I've enjoyed the privilege of driving many new vehicles.  In my own mind, I believe Sync was designed purely for me!

I am now the proud owner of Roberto, a 2014 C-Max Energi Premium.  How was this acquired you say? What is a C-Max Energi exactly? Excellent questions.  There apparently was this epic deal for A-Z plan lessees that was simply too good to be true.  I'm currently paying $231.50 a month on a brand new car with a 2 year/24,000 mile lease option.  What's not to love, right? Others have their own ideas but I consider the C-Max to be a puffed amalgamation of the fresh faced Fiesta (reintroduced in 2010) and an Edge.  The C-Max Energi runs on gas (33 MPG*), electricity only (19mi EV range*), and a combination of both (88MPGe*).  Obviously, you get the most out of the vehicle running it in combo mode.  Hands down the best mileage I've ever gotten out of a car!  There are more bells and whistles on the car than I'm sure I even know about but we have years of exploration yet to come.

Hopefully that summed everything up well.  I look forward to many, many exciting years of blogging!
