That's Money Honey

So this little ditty shows up at my house a few weeks ago.  Basically, what it says it that Ford and the EPA retested the vehicle and came to find that the original estimations for mileage were a little too ambitious.  They were lowered slightly to the ones I have in my previous post.  To be fair, I am getting 22 miles per charge which has made my work commute a gas free BEAUTIFUL thing!  Certainly, I was not expecting a check to arrive but it definitely subsidies some of my car payments so I've got no complaints. The odd thing is, had my father not informed me something was happening, I would have been shocked to receive the check in the mail.  I'm a little surprised I was not informed by the dealer or Ford ahead of time via phone or email.

After finding out about the downgrade, I went on the Ford homepage to check and see if there were any other issues.  Turns out, the car has a recall for the headrests.  Ford it seems has chosen to be more subtle with it's recall notices than GM.

It has taken some time but I am learning more and more about the vehicle and have just recently started charging at home and at work to get the most out of the battery charge.  My only concern at the moment is why when I get in the car does the start of my entertainment system delay.  Guess I'll check it out with the dealer when I take Roberto in for the recall.
